Together, We Can Beat Substance Use Disorder!

Dear Friends and Families,

I'm asking you to join us in our battle to combat addiction and stigma in our community. Your gift--any amount--will help us SO MUCH as we continue to fight the opioid crisis and the chaos and violence that comes with it. Your money goes directly to our educational programs, to help keep drugs out of the hands of our children. To our treatment programs, where we heal individuals so they can start the healing in their families. To the hospitals, where our Recovery Coaches help overdose patients brought back from the dead (with Narcan), to find recovery and begin the journey back to health. And to the recovery residences, where individuals already in recovery are taught how to maintain it, despite the many stresses and triggers of everyday life.

Our mission is urgent. We still hear about the opioid epidemic, though it has faded somewhat in the news of late. Folks, it is every bit as bad--or worse--than it has ever been, and we are fighting it. We are making good progress but it is slow going, and WE NEED YOU. Not just your money, but also your ideas, your volunteer time, your positivity and your energy. We need to strengthen our movement and fight the disease of substance use disorder from every angle. Will you help us? Every dollar you give is spent to treat the people who suffer. You can make a huge difference in someone's life!

With your help we can continue this critical work that impacts society as a whole by empowering individuals to free themselves and their families from the death-grip of substance use disorder. Studies show that one in three people has someone in their extended family who suffers from it, making this cause personal for all of us.

In large part because of the generosity and continued partnership of our supporters, the year 2019 brought many successes to Home of New Vision! We opened our doors to thousands of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) and doubled the number of residential treatment beds for men and women. This year we also opened a new women's recovery residence, for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), to support yet another pathway to recovery. As one of the most widely recognized rehabilitation facilities in southeast Michigan, it is our mission to provide evidence-based treatment practices and specialized services to stabilize, protect, educate and encourage those affected by the disease of addiction.

Please support Home of New Vision this holiday season. The opportunity to make a profound difference in someone's life is here, right now! In addition to recovery housing, Home of New Vision offers nine other programs to meet the needs of recovering individuals in our community. Your support helps us bring vital outreach to the public and numerous treatment options to our clients. We can do this! And we so appreciate you!

With gratitude,
